Bistro 63 has an extensive bar program with American and Japanese influences, featuring over 250 craft and speciality spirits, and a staff with a passion for food & beverage. We source our beers locally, and our wine list is fully sustainable.

Located in the heart of Amherst, Bistro 63 has been a staple in the community since 1999.

Modern American restaurant and cocktail bar serving contemporary New England dishes with a commitment to supporting local farms, brewers and distilleries. Bistro 63 regularly features seasonal specials using locally grown produce, an ever changing draft list of local and legendary brews, and seasonal cocktail list!

As of 2018 we are proud to feature a 100% organic, biodynamic, and sustainable wine list.

With over 250 craft and specialty spirits, we are proud to have some very inspired mad scientists behind the bar to cultivate our world class beverage program. Come in anytime and ask us about having a wine, beer, or spirits tasting!

FAQs

  1. Do you have outdoor seating?

Yes! Our covered deck is open seasonally, depending on weather patterns. Typically, begin seating outside around Mother’s Day and end the outdoor seating season in early October. If you require or are interested in outdoor dining outside of that season, please call us directly to inquire about availability.

  2. Do you allow dogs?

Sadly, no. Per MA state and Amherst town health codes, we are unable to allow pets of any kind on the premises during food service hours (11:30 AM-9 PM), including on the covered deck. Service animals are welcome, of course!

  3. Is your outdoor seating space heated?

Unfortunately, we are unable to install heaters on the covered deck in compliance with local fire codes and regulations. Any outdoor booking/reservation is at your own risk. While the deck is covered (has a ceiling), two sides are completely open. We have a very large ceiling fan outside to aid in airflow and help create a breeze when it’s hot, and temporary tent walls are available for private event bookings with advance notice.

  4. How do I make a reservation?

From the home page above, click on the buttons prompting you to make a reservation online. You’re also welcome to give us a call at (413) 259-1600 during business hours (11:30 AM-9 PM) or send us an email at info@bistro63.com. Please note, reservation requests sent via email for same-day bookings may not make it if we are unable to check our inbox with enough time to get your booking in. Please utilize the email option for advance bookings.

  5. How far in advance can I book?

For private events, we welcome inquiries as far out as the end of the next calendar year, if not even later. For “regular” reservations, we are able to take bookings as far out as 90 days from today (whatever today is!) as availability is opened up on a rolling basis.

  6. Do you have accessible parking?

While we do not own any parking ourselves, the Boltwood Walk parking lot located directly behind us does have a few accessible spots. Street parking on North Pleasant Street tends to be more accessible, but not guaranteed.

  7. Do you offer accessible facilities?

Yes! While there is one staircase leading to our back entrance (from the Boltwood Walk parking lot, leading up to our covered deck), our front entrance on North Pleasant Street is fully accessible with no steps whatsoever. Throughout the building, we feature low-grade ramps with handrails on either side of the hallway. We also have three (3) accessible single-use restrooms with handrails.

  8. Do you have a gluten-free/dairy-free/allergen-friendly menu?

We don’t have a separate menu specifically for guests with certain allergies, but our menu does feature labels for gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan items. Many items can be modified upon your visit to accommodate most allergies/dietary restrictions. We have gluten-free penne to substitute in any pasta dish and gluten-free bread to substitute in any sandwich/burger. All of our risottos are made with arborio rice, and are therefore naturally gluten-free. Our fryer is cross-contaminated with gluten, red meat, nuts (specifically walnuts), and shellfish. We do not have peanuts or peanut oil. The only peanut appearance on our entire menu is a bottled peanut sauce used exclusively in our Thai Chicken Wrap, with no risk of cross-contamination whatsoever. For any allergies not mentioned here, please ask your server/bartender for whatever accommodations you may need, and definitely keep us informed of any allergies we should be aware of. Our staff is trained to know what menu items are and are not safe for anyone with particular allergies, and management has an allergen guide available for all servers and bartenders to reference if they aren’t sure in the moment.

  9. Are you open on holidays?

We are closed on the 4th of July, Thanksgiving day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day every year. For any other holiday, we are open with regular hours. Any special closure(s) not already noted will be announced on this website, updated in our Google listing, and posted on both entrances.

If you have questions not answered above, please don’t hesitate to give us a call or shoot us a quick email! We’d be delighted to go over anything you might want to know ahead of your visit.
